GE Appliance Park in Louisville, Kentucky is so big, it has its own zip code.

GE's been building home appliances in Appliance Park since 1951. Recently, it got a major upgrade as part of GE's plan to onshore its products.

Today, each building is used to manufacture a different product—from dishwashers and ovens to washers and dryers.

AP-5 is the building where GE builds its French Door, bottom freezer refrigerators—including the GE Cafe CFE29TSDSS and GE Profile PFE29PSDSS that are two of the best refrigerators we've ever tested at Reviewed.com.

Around 1,000 people work in AP-5 building fridges, but it's not open to the public.

GE let us bring our cameras to the factory to take a peek at just what goes into making a fridge, and what American manufacturing looks like.
